hi Ghost.
I´ve seen people take the switch out and blast it with "electric contact cleaner" and it works again, and i´ve heard of other people taking the motor apart in the side panel, theres step by step guides on other renault websites. (not sure if im allowed to post the link)

Re: Cam belt change
interesting that you could do it all with the gun, i remember tightening the bottom bolt on my 16v 1.6 and we had to hang on a scaffold bar to get it tight enough!!!

Re: High level 3rd brake light not working
get a multimeter and check the earth first, see if its got power and earth, go from there.
it is probably powered from one of the rear clusters, so it shouldnt be hard to find the issue.
Its *probably* a bad bulb holder? give it a rub with some sandpaper where it should make contact.

Re: Megane 1 wont start
It sounds like the key might be broken inside. It takes a couple of minutes and a soldering iron.
If you know your radio code you can start the car. its a bit tedious to put the code in, but it will turn off the imobilisor so that you can get home.

Re: Lower engine mount to subframe bolt
as well as that mount, did you have a look at the rear gearbox mount ? if its backwards / forwards movement its not likely to be a side mount ?

Re: Boot Stuck problem
you can pop the boot open from the inside. The button is avaliable on ebay for under a tenner, takes 3 minutes to fit.

Re: Oil Plug problem
its an 8mm square plug. you can get the tool from any motor factors for about a fiver, or about a quid of Aliexpress.
dont go to renault for tools, they aint special.
