Re: High Level Brake Light ( LED )

Have you actually looked whether it is a set of LEDs? I would guess it's not.

Re: Washer Jets

When did you last use the pump? It could be that you damaged the pump in the recent cold weather - now it is blown the fuse will keep melting.

Re: Service and other costs

Ray, I have used both John Delaneys and Riverside. I replaced my Megane after 18 months with a '55 Laguna Initiale about 14 months ago. Riverside know their stuff but I haven't found them particularly cheap. They did some work under my aftermarket warranty and it was very expensive - I would have go...

Re: The innards of a charger

STOP. The above post is completely wrong. Most devices DO NOT use 12v, the output from the cigarette charger. The plug on the end (in most cases) will include a transformer to convert the 12v from the socket to (for example) 5v for Tomtom sat nav units. You MUST NOT cut the end off and directly conn...

Re: Cruise Control

Based on people's help so far I have ordered the new switch panel, blank and CC/SL switch.

Now, I just can't pick between getting a secondary remote or getting a bank of switches like:

Any thoughts?

Re: Re:

I am considering going down the same route as you - bit worried about wiring up the remote control! - but, how does the remote attach to the steering colum, does the plastic have to be cut to allow it? Thanks Paul Uhm ... I probably have problem to understand you. Sorry, my fault. In plastic on the...

Re:

Hi, my Megane was bought without cruise control. I did cruise control in accordance to spanish site (shown above) and it works :-). Only what you need is one switch (cruise control/0/speed limiter), four buttons (+,-,recall and 0) and three resistors (100ohm, 270ohm and 900ohm(82ohm+820ohm respecti...

Re: Cruise Control

I might attempt this, has anybody got any advice or hints at all please? I haven't got ESP so will need a new switch panel with switch (the connector is there waiting). I will need a 4 switch system, seems like a Megane II remote is the best to use? - How does this get fitted to the column area? Lim...

Re: Wipers

I wonder why there's such a difference in satisfaction with wiper blades, mine are excellent, both the standard fit ones I had and now retro-fit cheap branded flat blades. I guess it's something other than the wiper blades that's causing problems, something more fundamental particular to a car?

Re: Knocking noise

Same as above, knocking when I turn left and some vibration when braking at high speed - wonder if they are related.

Re: Panaramic sunroof

When I had a rattling roof, I just did up the torx on either side a bit tighter and used silicone lubricant on the rails and it has never really bothered me since?
