Had the engine light come on today & a message saying to check injection system.
As I have just replaced oner of the injectors I initially thought it was something to do with that but a little bit of Googling suggests that it could be one of the DPF pressure differential hose right round the back ...

Winding back calliper pistons
Just want to check before I potentially screw up the ABS pump.
Is it ok to just wind back the brake calliper pistons or do I need to clamp the flexible hose & open the bleed nipple?
Thanks

Re: Check hill start assist - check anti-pollution system
Before I change the injector I thought that I would swap connectors so swapped connectors 1 & 2 around & neither of those two cylinders fired but interestingly the car didn't throw any error either.
Swapped the connectors back & it fired up & ran normally. Took it out for a test & it misfired a ...

Re: Check hill start assist - check anti-pollution system
So it turns out that the error code is P202 which is the fuel injector in cylinder 2 is open circuit which would explain why it dropped onto 3 cylinders.
One thing I didn’t realise is that cylinder no 1 is at the gearbox end not the timing belt end.
Tried reseating the connector & clearing the code ...

Check hill start assist - check anti-pollution system
On the way home last night the engine light, service light & traction control light came on also warnings Check hill start assist (dont have it) - check anti-pollution system & I think also check stop start. The engine seemed to drop onto three cylinders & was very juddery.

Heated door mirrors
The heated door mirrors on our car don't seem to get warm enough to evaporate water on them.
They do get warm so enough to melt ice, eventually, but that's about it.
The ones on our last mk3 worked great.
Any one else had this problem?

Underbody trays
Due to quality French engineering my underbody engine tray came loose the other day as there where not enough useable bolts left to hold it on which has now been rectified but I could have sworn that when I got the car there was a guard that ran down the length of the car covering the exhaust ...

Rear cushion removal
Does anyone know how to remove the rear floor cushion from a Mk3 hatch.
Each cushion is attached onto 2 plastic retainers which in turn is somehow fixed loosely to the floor.
I need to remove the plastic retainer from the floor as opposed to trying to remove the frame from the retainer if that makes ...

Re: Aircon switch & sump plug.
Sorted the sump plug issue it was an 8mm square which I did have so at least that's sorted.
Still like to know about the A/C pressure switch though.

Aircon switch & sump plug.
As I have a little bit of time I thought I would replace the air con switch & give it an oil change at the same time.
Firstly the air con switch was the wrong one ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH.
Oil change. What bell end at Renault thought it would be a good idea to use those bloody awful not captive for long ...

Headlight upgrade
I have a 2014 1.5 facelift Megane which I've had for about 5 months & the headlights are quite frankly dangerous on country roads a night at 30mph let alone 60mph.
I normally replace the bulbs every couple of years for Phillips or similar but not sure that this will solve the problem.
