Air in 1.5dci engine!
Hi guys, my name's Steve and I try and do as much myself as possible as 1. I love a bit of mechanical engineering and 2. I have a neuro disability which stops me working properly so money is tight lol I've recently changed the injectors as there was an issue with 2 of them. So changed and coded to t...

Re: **Injector Fault**

I say I had injector 3 changed ect but upon further inspection I ordered the wrong bloody part number  they all look the same!!! I took it upon myself to take the others out ...

Re: **Injector Fault**
Steve, forget about carrying out leak-off tests. Before anything else you need to get a diagnosis of your fault code. Without that you are fumbling around in the dark. Your car will never run correctly until the code has been deleted even if by chance you replace the faulty injector. After identifi...

Re: **Injector Fault**
Try disconnecting the plug to the maf, see my other post. Alan @ Stevepro Have you tried alan's suggestion above. Cheers. Unfortunately no joy. Not quite sure what else to try now as it's not giving out codes but just the same "injector fault"? I might have to bite the bullet and either g...

Re: **Injector Fault**
Well that done sod all, though there are now a lot less air bubbles in the line.
Think I'm going to have to just get rid, I'm fed up throwing money and time at it!

Re: **Injector Fault**
I'm changing the fuel filter.... After a good look around online I found a few posts where people were experiencing the EXACT same issues as me and after receiving advice from genuine Renault "experts" this injector fault problem is "caused by the fuel filter catching air and recircul...

Does anyone have a link or picture to which style of fuel filter a 1.5dci takes? Trying to find this stuff via Google and there's all different types that keep coming up

Re: **Injector Fault**
**update**
So changed the pressure regulator as the code indicated and she's alive. Still takes 4/5 times to kick to life but it's running!
New and now only code is faulty injector 3, so part on way to be fitted and hopefully get it sorted

Re: **Injector Fault**
Update
Just had a guy take a look and the cars giving out the I go that it's actually the fuel pressure regulator that needs changing. He said he's seen this a fair bit in these cars.
If it fixes the issue I'll update.

Re: **Injector Fault**
So I noticed last night when trying to start the car, that when I push the start button and the car is trying to fire up the brake lights go out (as my foot is on the pedal) and so does the digital display for the radio. Also when it does start it revs and then dies, this happens unless I catch it a...

Re: **Injector Fault**
From what I can see and have read my injectors (at least two) are kicking out way too much fuel. I will however still go buy some tubing and run a leak off test I think. Start motor seems ok, but I'll give it a good listen to see if it sounds snappy enough. I'll keep ya posted. Again, thanks a ton f...
