Thanks for the replies guys the leak was indeed coming from the oilway on the cylinder head. They also changed the cam pulley and belt as i was getting the common noise when starting the car although these were done under warranty as they were only changed 10 months ago. Hi again, oil in the water doesnt mean its the head gasket, as the oil runs at a higher presure than the water it will be forced from oil into water rather than the other way round, like i said in my prev post, there are oilways and waterways on the thermostat end of the head and thermostat housing...

UPDATE !! Problem sorted - Bought a new camsensor and all is okay in the world of Megane now :P I also cleaned all other plugs / connectors with WD40 and gave the trhrottle body a good clean out with brake cleaner..... To anyone who may see this, i managed to find the answer you are looking for
5w 40 engine oil.
The oil spec is: Renault RN0700 OR RN0710 - So basically if you see these numbers listed on the back of the bottle of 5w40 then you know that you can use that specific brand of 5w40.
