Hi, I tried an ebay temic and had same issue...wrong direction, they also will not open/close with roof...there appears to be no option but to get a 2nd hand original temic (this is what I did), it now works fine.

I had a 2006 1.5 dci with 90,000 on it , the clutch juddered intermittently and was very high and quite sharp when I bought it and for the 3 years I had it and the previous owner swore it had done this for the 6 years he had it, so maybe not a disaster if you can live with it

I would take a glow pug out and see if it heats, it should glow instantly. My money is on the relay being faulty, new or not.
