Re: Is there any way to open tailgate sports hatch
After receiving a very unhelpful answer, a friend found an answer online. I spent several weeks having to crawl in through the back door then insert a flat screwdriver in a small aperture in the lock body, this is covered by a clear piece of tape, a white lever can be seen, insert the screwdriver to...

Re: Is there any way to open tailgate sports hatch
Thanks very much that's, a really helpful reply, for your information when this happened previously I did exactly what you suggest for a considerable time without finding the solution, so instead of being so bored to answer a question, why do you even bother? I belong to other forums dealing with ot...

Is there any way to open tailgate sports hatch
I have a 2006 Megane Sports Tourer. But I keep getting locked out of the load compartment by the tailgate opening mechanism. Sometimes the tailgate will open using the switch by the number plate light, but at other times nothing I do seems to make any difference. It's very annoying as there doesn't ...

Re: Estate rear door
I eventually found another spoiler complete with brake light and washer tube as this had sheared off as well. Everything for sale on ebay was still attached to a tailgate that wasn't for sale separately, or had broken lugs, as mine had left most of the logs and screws when it departed at 75mph, I bo...

Re: Estate rear door
Where are these plastic pieces situated? Are the sticky like pieces along the back edge of the spoiler, as I've just lost my spoiler and am about to replace it with a secondhand part, but this also has the broken clips, is super glue strong enough to effect this repair. I'm just amazed at how rubbis...

Forgot to say the vibration damper is only fitted to Diesels, and I also have the 1.5 DCI.

2006 Sports Tourer, tailgate spoiler, with high level brake light departed at 75mph!
At 75 mph the other day I heard a bang, looking in the mirror I was in time to spot the rear spoiler disappear, I turned around but was unable to find said spoiler. Going by the tailgate spoilers I've managed to find on ebay with missing mounting points, and the number of tailgate for sale minus the...

Re: Megane 1.5dci 106 2006 new clutch won't disengage
I'd had a similar situation as yourself but I lost the clutch pedal altogether, changed master cylinder, the clutch and slave cylinder had only been changed less than 6 months previously, eventually I had to change all the piping, as in the pipework is a big round and fairly flat component, it took ...

Re: Clutch pedal on floor and can't engage gear.
Well success at last, (Unless I've spoken too soon) :grin Replaced the valve and pipe and bled the system, since then I've covered just under 300 miles with no further problems, so it looks like that was the final piece in the puzzle, or was it the problem all along, and the clutch master cylinder w...

Re: Clutch pedal on floor and can't engage gear.
Hi Bob; Thanks for taking so much trouble. Funny enough I found a 2009 posting here today, when someone did exactly that to overcome a similar (same?) problem as i have. As I've already paid for the pipe and valve it would be a bit awkward to cancel now, and sourcing a pipe without the valve might t...

Re: Clutch pedal on floor and can't engage gear.
Hi Bob, Spoken to the Dealer who fitted the clutch this morning, or at least their parts department man, he said there would only be a 12 month warranty on the work, so that's out the window. However I have found the valve, I was expecting a small component but in fact it's quite large and looks lik...

Re: Clutch pedal on floor and can't engage gear.
Hi Bob, Well that was a disappointment, I'd hoped when I got the pedal back it had sorted itself out temporarily, no such luck it lasted for about half a mile then It started all over again, I just managed to get it home. When the pedal stuck down I did as you suggested and removed the reservoir ca...

Re: Clutch pedal on floor and can't engage gear.
Thanks Bob , I'll give it a try! The slave cylinder was changed when the clutch was changed just over a year and about 10,000 miles ago, although at the time the car belonged to friends who had owned it from New. I must agree with most of your other comments, particularly about the Muppets who decid...
