I would start by checking the battery, my megane behave strangely when the battery was dying... the alarm would also set off with no apparent reason.
But since the car was under intense rain, I wouldn't discard water messing with the electronics

Re: rear wiper / heated screen issues
The tailgate loom on estates tends to break, causing these strange behaviours. Mine has broken a few years ago , making the wiper work when the ignition was turned on/off. It was fixed, and I think it has broken again recently. The third stop light sometimes doesn't turn on, and the tailgate is not ...

Re: Update List/Turner List
There are 2005 models with Update List, and others that still have Tuner List.
If you have the user manual, check if it has any reference to the AUX option.
If it has, it is a Update List (Tuner Lists do not have AUX).

Retrofitting involves a bit of wiring but it's not overly difficult d...

Hello from Portugal
Hello, I'm FIlipe from Portugal and I currently have a 05 Megane II Estate with the mighty 1.4 16v engine. I have already retrofitted some equipment, including Cabasse Update List HU, OEM hands-free kit (CMLTB), auto dim mirror, and others. Looking to learn a bit more about the Megane and hopefully ...
