Hi all, still struggling with my beloved Megane :life . Decided after spending yet more hours on it that I'd simply replace the UCH, Steering lock and ECU card reader and fob from a working vehicle and then recode the ecu for injector codes, fitted this all last night and guess what absolutely zip, ...

Wholeheartedly agree that the anti tamper device is a pain at best but not insumountable. If you can get the lock off (if it's unlocked) or a s/h lock the spring loaded pin can be removed from underneath......read that as the side without the connector plug........it is then fairly easy to open the ...

Better late than never on the reply I suppose. These locks are worse than a pain in the backside because (1) the securing bolt is not removeable because 'pin' that engages with the steering column prevents it's removal when steeering is locked (2) it undoes by turning clockwise not anti clockwise as...

Thanks Bob, I've already checked so much of the loom for chaffing and damage it's unreal, used loads of tape wrapping it again and can find zip wrong and my internet searching now amounts to about 30 hours or so I know it's an issue with the Meg 2 but I have tried virtually everything that is on utu...
