Re: Air con problems
Following a different software update applied 3 weeks ago, the climate control (a/c) once again failed. On advice from Renault, they then called in Renault Technical people who visited the dealer and dealt with my car this week. They apparently are travelling across the country to sort this particul...

Re: Air con problems
I got fed up with the situation and contacted another Renault garage. They said they'd had 2 or 3 cars in today with exactly this problem. The only solution was to leave the system in Auto and avoid blower positions over 3 (difficult on the Auto system!). Anyway, rang Renault UK Customer Services an...

Re: Air con problems
You may have the same problem I "still" have with my 2006 Grand Scenic with Climate Control. I know there are other reasons that your air con may be playing up, but its worth a comment. After the injection computer recall last year, my air conditioning has packed up about 4 times. The air ...

In case it helps, my earlier post about my Climate Control on my Scenic may be relevant. I've been told of a known software problem that 'faults' the a/c system and indicates that the a/c system has failed and lost its refrigerant. I now have to ring up on a monthly basis to see if France have got a...

Climate Control
I wondered if anyone has come across a problem which Renault know about, which relates to the Climate Control on Scenics (probably Meganes, but I'm not sure)? I generally override the Auto setting on the Climate Control on my Scenic and push the A/C button and have it on all the time (no matter what...

Funnily enough I have just returned from a Renault dealer and I asked about this problem (my Brothers Scenic had the same problem - which now seems to have cured itself). It is a problem with the heater resistor and needs replacement - Something covered under Renault warranty I believe. Hope this he...

I have a 2.0 litre Auto Grand Scenic on an '06 plate. It does sound like your auto box may be perfoming strangely, as mine has only ever done this whilst it seemed to be getting used to my style of driving. I do however find a couple of quirks with the auto: When I first leave home in the mornings a...

From memory, only the Privilege has more power points - 4 in total. I remember querying this when I ordered my Scenic. I have a Privilege Grand Scenic and it has a power point underneath the gearstick console, one in the centre box (this box is a factory fit option on all but the Privilege), and two...

I have spoken to two Renault dealers who appear to have a lot of people contacting them since their recall letters arrived. It is a red recall? and the car is required for around an hour to reprogram the Injection computer - A potential power loss can occcur whilst driving. Apparently the garage I s...

Recall Renault F4R Engine - Air conditioning compressor
I received a recorded delivery letter from Renault today for my 2006 2.0 16v Auto Grand Scenic. It states that they have launched a service campaign affecting certain versions of the Renault Scenic. As already mentioned it says that 'we have noted a potential for an immobilising breakdown caused by ...
