I have the front bumper off, lets see what I find.

Buzzing when ignition on
I am trying to fix my none working washers on my 2006 Megane. I have put the ignition on, just found out how to do that, and there is a buzzing from the engine compartment. I havnt a clue about how to work my circuit tester, but I am hoping its a pump fault. The tester does show a reading when I pre...

Re: Oil Sump Plug Rounded
I got the garage to siphon the oil out, or you could do it yourself. So my plug is still rounded, not easy to get under the car. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fluid-Change-Extractor-Transfer-Pump-Garage-Tool-Multi-Use-Fuel-Oil-Water-CT2567-/252806347299?epid=1023493747&hash=item3adc6eba23:g:Q2cAAOS...

Re: Permanent 12v to VVT solenoid, anyone tried it?
I assume that you are having problems with the dephaser pulley? Me too. Maybe someone will answer shortly. I am hoping to change my timing belt and pulley in a month or so. I bought some second hand parts on ebay, so it wont cost too much. I just get bad starting, and knocking on start up, runs ok. ...

Re: Starting issue
I had the same issue with the boot lid; I found it was the wires that go from the car body then into the boot lid, where they bend.
You may need to take off the rubber cover. I had to fix 4 wires, probable the brake light wires too.
Is it noisey when its trying to start?

Re: lost keycard
I have lost mine too, still looking for it though. I have been quoted £125, but that does not include getting into a locked car, so might have to break a window. Search ebay for a keycard, and then find the one most local to you, some do programing too. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171865907851?_trksi...

Re: Oil Press warning at high revs but clears when Eng hot
If you are saying this only happens at high revs, then you may have a problem with oil pressure.
What type of oil did you use, I believe it should be 5/40 or 0/40

Re: Car revs low and feels like stalling
If only it was like the old days and you could just twiddle a screw on the throttle cable
These days it could be the throttle sensor or the idle control valve, I am just guessing, but if its not causing you a problem .....

Re: battery flat
''flashers seem to have been on most of day while charging'' you are meant to disconnect the battery whilst charging, you could get a surge in electricity and fry the electrics.

Re: Noisy starter
It does sound like a dephaser pulley problem, without hearing it ;) Only does it when cold, after being stood a while. A dodgy starter would do it when warm. Lots of information online. My car has the same problem, I start it with a few revs and it seems to help. Just hope it lasts untill I get a so...
