I'm pondering what to do with my 2012 Megane Coupe 1.5dci. I've had this car for over 4 years as a cheap to to run car. I do over 20k a year driving and have put over 80k on it to bring it to its current 120k. My Meg has surpassed my expectations, on how it drives, its built quality and good looks a...
My 1.5 dci thew a pollution fault but I kept driving it anyway, and the cruise control wouldn't stay on. I eventually was without turbo which made for interesting driving. Turned out to be 2 small rubber pipes that go to the DPF pressure sensor. £20 for parts £200 for labour :( still it fixed the ca...
Yeah I just had this. You could hear water sloshing around! It is an easy job and on mine the wipers came off easily without tools. The nearside one is easy to clear, the drivers side is a little bit trickier as the wiper linkage is over it. Lots of water came out, but I had to drive with towels stu...
I've had my 1.5 DCI Coupe for nearly 2 years now and covered over 30k miles with the car now at 77k. I changed the oil, oil filter and air filter on this car for the first time myself last weekend, usually I got the garage to do it when I had other work done. I used a Sealy vacuum extractor which wo...
I've just spent the last month driving like an OAP as I had ignition and emissions faults related to the DPF pop up (DF062 and DF1003) DPF pressure sensor value. A live scan showed that the sensor seemed ok. The garage found that the one rubber hoses to the sensor had split and the other was on its ...
My driving is in Norfolk so no steep hills and mostly dual carriageway and the worst I've got in 30,000 miles of driving is 50.95 mpg and the best is 65.2 mpg; although that tank was driven gently to see how high I could get mpg. Summer driving usually averages out at 62 mpg, with winter at about 55...
It seems that despite buying an used Renault from a Renault main dealer, that its not covered with an approved used Renault warranty. On the upside it covered the new exhaust air flap, the downside is it doesn't cover diagnostics for the satellite controls. It also fixed the temperature gauge as wel...
Within a few months of me owning this car I realised that whilst the audio controls can scroll to the phonebook I cannot select it to access my numbers. Renault checked that it should perform that way on a similar carand fitted a new control this Monday, but said that didnt fix it and wanted my auth...
Well its not just the labour time, but labour cost. Renault will be charging around £100 per hour for labour! Other garages will cost a lot less, depends it you have a local garage you trust,
They've covered 'it' under warranty I'm surprised though as the Renault approved warranty excludes the exhaust system. Although I'm not sure if'its just been cleaned up or a new part fitted.
And my check emissions light is apparently some flap sticking shut in the exhaust. I assume this is part of the DPF :( The dealer is checking to see if this is under the approved used warranty, or whether the sale dept will cover this, but hopes are not high. No idea on the cost involved, but I'll p...
