Re: AC compressor pipes seals
Some of them look like hula-hoops (potato snack) rather than normal o-rings. I also need to change the compressor and wonder whether to bother, already replaced £140 of dealer-only pipes 2 years ago due to them leaking at the flanges.

Re: Air condition leak issues
OK get a UV torch. When the engine is cold, is there any pressure when you press the schrader valve with a screwdriver? The trouble with a leak test is they just pull a vacuum which sucks the seals in, maybe they only leak under pressure? Also a vacuum is only equivalent to 15PSI compared to atmosph...

Re: Electric window mk 2 Megane 2006 1.4 petrol
Tinned my front passenger pins - very easy, solder flows well - so far so good.
Rear passenger, all burned up.
Useless.

Re: Electric window mk 2 Megane 2006 1.4 petrol
I agree, terrible quality of connector (the female part) and shutting the door is enough to stop it working again.
Tinning all the pins with a thin layer of solder is a great idea.

Re: Here's a good one..
We have thought we turned off the Megane a few times as it is so quiet at idle.
If you remove the keycard first, or it has come out (even slightly) since starting the engine, you have to press STOP twice to confirm you have the keycard on you.

Re: Stuck open window
Sometimes removing and reinserting the blade fuses behind the cover on the left of the inside of the glovebox. It's as though the Temic 'trips out'. The ignition needs to be off, there are symbols on the fuse cover for what they do and 3 look like windows, just remove them all and put back in the sa...

If it unlocks but you don't open a door or boot within (IIR 30 secs) it will lock back up.

Re: DPF problem using Delphi DS150e
How many miles? The DPF becomes clogged with incombustible ash over the years.
This is made of minerals such as silica and metal compounds from the fuel and oil and engine wear particles.
I think you are wasting time trying to regenerate a spent filter.

If they are the later aero style blades, the spoiler is the opposite way for LHD, RHD, and so they would lift off the screen instead of being pressed on.

Re: Megane 2 cabin air fan again!
For me it was the fan connector, very poor quality. There is a video on youtube - the fan is a bayonet fit into the car.

UK DAB coverage is nowhere near 100%. Early adoption of DAB was an expensive fiasco.
