Hi all,
Went ahead and made new Abs sensor wire brackets. Wasn't the hard route at all as quite easily made. Material cost me 2 quit, couple of holes, couple of bends, bit a paint and good as new. Sorted

Re: coil spring dimensions
Hope you are sorted Mexas, Not a stupid question at all as I've just been caught out on this. The on-line recommended springs for my 1.6cc have 12.75 wire diameter where it should have been 12.5. Doesn't sound much but I fitted the 12.75s (they visually looked the same as originals) before I realise...

Re: Megan Cabrio 1.6 coil spring be careful
Update,
On return of the incorrect coils springs the supplier has accepted responsibility and will refund in full, which is good. Still have the hassle of doing the job twice though, which is annoying.

Re: shock absorbers.
Hi,
As longs as we're not talking a Megane II Sport / RS model I believe the std cooking models came with oil shocks. KYB on-line catalogue is a good resource reference.

Front ABS Sensor Bracket Corroded
Hi all, Replacing front bottom arms / wishbones on my Meg Mk2 and found the ABS sensor brackets which sandwich above the bottom ball joint to be rotten beyond repair. I've scoured this site and the net and not found anywhere selling replacements. This issue must be very very common indeed so I'm hop...

Megan Cabrio 1.6 coil spring be careful
Thought I'd get this out there to prevent others from a potential problem I recently ordered and fitted new KYB front shocks, coil springs and top mounts to my 2004 1.6 megane cc. To be sure I got the correct items I first went to the on-line supplier and confirmed part numbers via reg number as usu...

Re: Cc trunk is touching plastic when opened
Sorry but hard to understand your issue from info provided. Not experienced any like issues with my 2004 cc but an image would help. Also, is the issue roof up, down or both? When closed are the shut lines even and does it open and close with the latch easily i.e. You don't need to tug it to open or...

Re: Megan 2 cc A pillar external panel damaged
Hi all, Well finally re-fitted both A Pillar trims and did what I said I didn't want to do which was fixing through the ally / plastic trim into the A panel itself with a self tapping screw. Why; well I can't forget what a bang it went with when my nearside item folded back at 70mph as it peeled bac...

Re: Megan 2 cc A pillar external panel damaged
Most definitely an option if there is sufficient clearance for the rivet between the plastic frame and the A pillar structure. Had assumed there wouldn't be but I'll check it out. Thanks

Re: Megan 2 cc A pillar external panel damaged
Thanks very much, I'll do something similar and yes the ally trim distorted for me too and I've been planishing it back as best I can to follow the contour of the plastic. I will need a replacement ultimately but for now it will do for fixing trials. I have a spool of stainless steel locking wire (a...
