OK I've learned that I have a mk 1 K4m and I'm stuck in to changing this out and can now see that the belt is broken. There are demos online how to change a belt but just wondering what my procedure is if I'm dealing with a broken one.

thanks that's the easy bit now I'm stuck into changing the cambelt on the lawn. If anyone here has the experience to help please see the thread I posted 'crumbling megane'

Having a suspected cambelt problem so chasing DIY information. I have a 2003 1600, 16v, megane cabriolet and according to renault it's supposed to have a K4M engine so I'm studying online manuals for that engine.
