it was a dodgy starter why the black fuse on the battery positive terminal kept blowing,thanks members for all your help[/u] :)

just spoken to four ashes renault.they think it's a dodgy starter motor,just drop the car of there,will let you know later what they say cheers.

ok, so there must be something blowing it up...the problem is finding what is doing that. did you installed something recently? aftermarket radio? handsfree kit... no i have not installed anything recently. ,went to start car after an hour and the fuse has blown again when it tried to start the car.

i have changed the fuse and it was fine for about an hour,went to start car after an hour and the fuse has blown again when it tried to start the car. :banghead

nice work despite the fact you were a little bit rude when i spoke to you about that fuse, but im glad everything is ok now enjoy it :) sorry about that,didn't mean to be rude,but problem still there,car is dead again,it has blown the fuse again when i tried to start the car after an hour, :banghead

hi guys it's blown the big black fuse on the battery positive terminal again after about 1 hour of the car been parked up on my driveway with the ignition off,

found the fuse on battery and changed it today,and the car back to normal, THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP MEMBERS,

with the help of the picture i found the fuse it was covered in grease and dirt,how do i get it out to see if it is blown?
but i have no interior lights and nothing in the info window even with the keyfob in the car, it like the car as shutdown all the electrics,only the hazzard lights work. :banghead

i had water in my passenger footwell on my DCI.it was a blocked drainage tube which is under the panel of the windscreen wipers.you have to remove the 2 wipers and take of the plastic panel off then look for 2 black tube like drain tubes either side of bulk head,clean them out and replace them they ...

it may be you need to have your EGR valve cleaned then it has to be reset on a computer by a renault RTE engineer
