Re: Brake pedle problem

Hi, I have the same issue, been reading your replies etc removed the ABS fuse and problem went away. So I reckon my car has the same fault. Are the ABS rings hard or expensive to change? Cheers A new/good used cv joint it the best way to fix this. I have seen just the rings being sold on the net bu...

Re: Check injection + Service light + No power on low Rev

Live data is/can be useful but can also be misleading when looking at certain sensors. Even when a sensor is faulty it can give you a live data value that makes it look like its fine. Do a simple test, disconnect the MAF look at the data and give it a rev. Seeing as it makes a difference with the MA...

Re: Throttle increases when idle & fluctuates when driving.

I think you can only read the alternator load % using clip or autologic. Most idle problems on these end up being a faulty throttle body. I have had a couple cars that have come to me from other garages with idle problems after they have checked all the usual things and I always check the load and m...

Re: Throttle increases when idle & fluctuates when driving.

Before getting too involved.
Can you plug clip in and look at the alternator load % in the UPC. Is it up around the 99% mark all the time?

Re: wiper help

Check the UPC (engine bay fuse box) for water damage to multi plug connectors. If you take the unit out its pretty easy to separate the plastic covers and check the circuit board as well.

Re: heating blower fan switch scenic 1.9 dci

I have seen this problems lots of times. Remove the instrument panel to gain access to the heater resistor. You will more than likely find it has failed and also burnt the multi plug. You can get the resistor from most aftermarket parts suppliers but you will have the get the modified plug from a ma...

Re: Wires hanging down underneath seat, no air bag lights co

The one under the dash could be from the clutch pedal switch (2 pin green connector). They always break and hang down.
Upload your pics to imgur.com and post the link so we can have a look to confirm.

Re: Locking the car drains the battery...!!

Open the bonnet and hold the pin switch down with your finger and lock the car, see if it still beeps at you.
It's the alarms way of warning you a hatch has not been closed properly. Most common is the bonnet switch not being pressed down far enough.

Re: uch board replacement

Are you sure it's the uch that's got water in it ? The most common one is the UPC that's located NSF inner wing area in the engine bay. These often get water damaged and cause all sorts of electrical issues. If this is the case you will be able to just plug it all in and start and drive the vehicle ...

Re: Brake pedle problem

Hi snowgirl, From what you have described the first thing I would do is check the ABS rings on the driveshaft outer joints. It sounds like one of them may have a cracked and is causing the ABS to operate at low speeds. Rotate each wheel and look closely. Corrosion builds up behind them until they fr...

New here, but not new to Renaults

Hi everyone, I'm an ex Renault tech and now run my own little garage specialising in Renaults. I didn't come here to advertise so I'm not saying where I am based and I don't know all the rules of the forum. I'm here to help where I can and also learn (yes learn...I'm not that naive to think I know e...
