Banded wheels?

I can't do much with the performance of my Meggy as she's a 1.6 16v automatic and needs to be relatively economical to run but having bought steel wheels I am beginning to consider getting them banded. Any reasons why I shouldn't?

I'd like to know that too. My Meggy is automatic and I was told it can't run LPG. Seems daft but is it true?

Probably not worth much but over here in Ireland the best quote for the labour only was 120 Euro. I was told there's loads of hassle doing it on my Meggy, but for parts mister-auto.ie have a deal on kits, from circa 130 Euro now.
Usually, their UK branch is cheaper.
