Re: Siezed caliper

Thanks mike! It's going in to the garage to have bottom arm and the caliper done - £40-£50, I'll hold him to that considering autodata say it's around 3-4 hours total :-D and faffing about with subframes and brakes! Atleast then I get my mot ticket back with 12 months as it's the mots side garage do...

Re: Leaking oil from oil return feed

Hi

Not sure why turbo failed, the centre turbine was knackered

Apprantley egr and all associated pipe work was cleaned, I beg to differ tho.

Now appears to be leaking from the oil return so was wondering if I need to re prime or if it's a case of undo, new seals and tighten back up?

Leaking oil from oil return feed

As above loosing a few litres every few 100 miles, problems not got any worse although a hazard waiting to happen, sourced leak which appears to be the oil return pipe that goes in to top of turbo as elsewhere looks dry I've nipped it up but it didn't budge so must be tight... Brings me to the o rin...

A sad day! turbo has blown! 1.9 dci

Today a dark cloud loomed over my life, i just sold our 2nd car, and on getting home and pulling up could only describe the sound equivalent to not being in gear correctly and making that qqqqqqqq noise. upon further inspection and a quick drive around, its the turbo, sounds like bearings, prior to ...

Re: My megane dci won't start???

All sorted! Drained fuel using a pump from under rear seats, Soaked everything up with tissue, blew lines through and then as the fuel filter was a tit to get to I took the pipes off the fuel pump and primed until dry! £35 worth of diesel, primed, thought sod it and sucked it through the pipe that g...

Re: My megane dci won't start???

I can't believe it, I did! I put 11 litres in! What an idiot! I had the receipt in my pocket! I can't even remember going to sainsburys! I've found the fuel pump sender under the seats so I'm going to cup everything out, take filter off and empty and blow lines, then put diesel in filter and put 20 ...

My megane dci won't start???

Hi all 1.9 dci megane, 53 plate, 118,500 miles. Keep it short as I can. Drove around short amount if time on red, put derv in, on way home aggressively overtook a car doing 30 on a dual carriageway, on the carriage way, beep, stop, injection fault, limp mode. Stopped car and restarted, was off, was ...

Re: How loud is the 1.9 dci? (compared to 1.5dci)

I've deffo got a split somewhere then,
My turbo a screams. There's no smoke ect.
Pulls fine, I'm not sure if the second hand intercooler pipe has blew, or if the pipe on the turbo has a split, struggle to see back there as its crammed!

Woodpecker - the car is green so that answers that lol! Aircon pump can't be siezed as its working ice cold! It's had 2 pulleys and th...
