Yeah same thing i think, you should find it in the passengers foot well. It takes about 5mins to swap and costs about £18.

the brake light switch sticks so after you have applied the brakes then go back to the gas the car thinks the brakes are still applied.

Re: Could I have bubbles in my fuel line? Car's Symptoms

You're looking in the wrong place for the cause of your cars symptoms. Mine done exactly the same thing and it turned out to be the brake lights switch I change it about 18 months ago and haven't had a problem since, renault programmed into the ECU that if the brakes are pushed at the same time as t...

Re: 1.9dci power loss solved!!!

AlexB it was that post I saw it in, to be honest i didn't take much notice as everyone else overlooked it and was focusing on the EGR. Also I just couldn't make the connection between the brake light switch and throttle, it didn't make sense to me until I did some more research. Anyway thanks for th...

BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH!!

I have been having the same problem for 18 months and haven't come up with a solution until today I changed the switch on a whim from something I read online and it has been good as gold all day.

Try cleaning it with some WD40 or replace it for £18

Re: Fan belt replacement

It is easy to do yourself, you have to take a lot off before you can get to it though. Front off side wheel needs to come off, then wheel arch liner, then there is a removable panel with 4 13mm bolts. With all those removed you can see the belt, it has a self tensioner that needs to be manually move...

It's easy to do with a basic tool kit but there is a lot of coverings to remove before you get to it through the front off side wheel arch.

Re: Accelerator sudden stop.

Try unplugging it first and see if it helps Or go the full hog and Take the EGR valve out, fist you will probably notice that it's covered in carbon deposits. You could try cleaning it up and replacing but it will be covered in soot in a few thousand miles again. Split the valve and the electronic a...

Re: Accelerator sudden stop.

I had the same problem with my 1.9dci, I seem to have fixed it by rotating the EGR valve 180degrees and disconnecting it.

Not had any problems since.
