Re: Immobiliser Problem

I found the problem. I inspected everything and did not disturb surrounding cables/wires. In the end narrowed it down to the battery, it was completely dead, engine wouldn't even turn. So got a jump start and it was fine again, however next day same problem, meaning the battery wasn't run down but d...

Immobiliser Problem

I was cleaning the throttle body out last night, went to start the car up this morning and got nothing. Immobiliser light was solid on the dashboard. Central locking, lights, dashboard, nothing works. Key slot does not respond to main key or spare. Any one ever restarted the immobiliser before? I ha...

I used 1206 SMD LED, slightly bigger then what was on the dashboard and easier to work with.

Re: Custom Dials

change the LCD to white, a nice contrast. i didn't want to change it all to one colour as it doesn't look nice or classy.

Re: Custom Dials

the sun visor, just give it a tug towards you, comes right off. there is a single screw holding the dashboard in place, its located right at the top. the clip for the dashboard at the back is very easy to remove, unclip and pull out. the dashboard uses SMD LEDs, can't remember which ones it uses sin...

Re: Custom Dials

just pull the sun shield towards you to get it off. then it's just a screw for the dashboard.

i asked renault and was quoted $1k AUD for a replacement dash

There are no such thing as Xenon LEDs, what they are is SMD LEDs.

Re: Custom Dials

This was my attempt. The SMD LEDs are very small and you need a degree of soldering skills to be able to do it. I would NEVER do it again after finding out how much a dashboard replacement costs if it was buggered up. http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/1742/dsc03457largenw9.th.jpg
