Re: HID bulbs in projector headlights?
As for the legality: What markings do your headlights have? Are the dipped beams marked only "HC"? Or are there both "HC" and "DC" markings on the headlight housing? These markings should be visible on the black plastic part of the headlight when you open the bonnet. If...

Re: MOMO's Project ( First Part )
Great attitude and some well-ventilated working space you have there! That's how I prefer to do my installs, too. Although I'm forced to work on a gravel surface, no luxury of pavement for me thank you very much! :) Nice choice of parts there, although the engine could benefit from an improve...

Re: Still no sign of the Meg III Convertible then?
It will have a steel/glass roof like the current one. The first pictures of a heavily disguised prototyp emerged about a week ago: https://www.planeterenault.com/forum/megane-iii-megane-iii-cc-nom-de-code-e95-t30407-72.html#p657205 It's thought to be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva show in March and del...

Re: How to take out air box?
- Remove battery - Unclip ECU connectors - Remove battery tray / ECU - Remove airbox-to-throttle body rubber tube Then, with the battery tray removed, you'll be able to see the airbox's air intake tube that runs on top of the chassis leg. There are three extensions attached to the front end of the i...

Re: could do with some help from you clever people
Just a note regarding the fitment Renault vs. others: Even though the 4x100 PCD is the same as on some other makes, the Renault has a wheel centre bore of 60.1mm which is bigger than most other makes. But then again, most aftermarket wheels come with separate centering rings that can be changed to s...

225 = tread width in millimeters
40 = sidewall height in percents in relation to the tread width (0.4x225mm=90mm)
R = radial tyre (as opposed to ancient crossply tyres)
18 = rim diameter in inches

Sorry to butt in like this, but the 'x8' stands for the width of the rim in inches.
BTW Brian, the car looks brilliant! Done with good taste!
Mine's on coilovers turned to -55mm, yours looks practically equally low despite the 45mm nominal drop.

Yes they did; many 2.0 16Vs had them as standard equipment. The exact size is 6.5x16" ET49.

Re: Megane Door Hinge
The driver's side (on RHD cars) lower hinge = 8200538141.
That number replaces two earlier discontinued numbers 8200029136 and 8200338987.

Re: Suspension Bearing
Glad I could be of help! :) BTW, I've understood your car is lowered? In that case you might want to consider modifying the new bearings prior to fitting. This is how new bearings looks like: http://netti.nic.fi/~gordini/megane/kaantolaakerit.jpg The one on the left is upside down, and the light-col...
