Steering lock disable
Hello all. Does anyone know if you can turn the steering with the engine off? My 2002 Megane broke down yesterday with what I worry is a cambelt or drive belt issue but we were trying to push the car to the recovery truck but had to start the car to turn the wheels. Is there a trick to being able to...

Re: non starter
Hello all Just another update on my starting problems and it's good news! Following its first trip to Renault where they found no problems, the intermittent starting issues gradually got worse and it went to Renault again and they thought it required a new starter so this was done. I picked the car ...

Re: how do the bottom lights on the door work?
When I brought my 2002 Megane a few months ago I noticed that none of the door lights worked either. I removed one and found that the connector was not joined and it looked brand new and never been connected as there was no sign of wear on either the metal points or the bulbs! I then checked the oth...

Re: non starter
After a trip to Renault a couple of weeks ago for a diagnostic check on my non starter issue the car has refused to start at all now. Renault could find no issues with the car and after many attempts it behaved itself all day! Over the last 24 hours the car will not start or even attempt to turn ove...

Re: dephaser pulley
I had my pulley replaced about a month ago because of the starting issues and all is now fine on that side of things(having issues with the steering lock now!) I must admit that the car ran fine once started and had no flat spots that you describe before I replaced the pulley,it maybe something else?

Electronic steering lock.
Hello Has anyone fitted an electronic steering lock to a Megane 2 and if so does it need to be programmed to the car by Renault? I believe I have a faulty one and have my car booked into a Renault dealer next week to have one fitted if proved right on the diagnosis by them. I am aware their not chea...

Re: fuse box
I have commented in the non starter post by lockstock regarding the similar problem but I too wondered how on earth you check half the fuses! I wonder if you have to disconnect the plugs and maybe this engine fuse box can be lifted out?
