Mounting amplifiers

Alright there guys, as the title really. How and where do you mount your amps? Iv had to stick one of them on the Sub box (I know its bad but using vibration free rubber feet) and another one on the back left passenger seat. I want to relocate both but just can see where else they would go? The sub ...

Re: The Big 3 Upgrade (TB3)

For 1000w you going to want to run 0awg. Its about 1 meter alternator to battery then i saw 2 earth points under airbox which u need about 1-2 feet for each. I ran 3krms on stock alternator with just an extra battery in boot and was fine. A 210amp alternator is a straight swap but by no means easy....

Re: The Big 3 Upgrade (TB3)

Cheers for the heads up! I was planning on putting 0awg for the big 3 upgrade. Iv been on 'talk audio' forum and got told 4awg power should be fine. I know its about future proofing and upgrade the power and ground from front of the car to the rear but WONT be going any further with mods. In the nex...

Re: The Big 3 Upgrade (TB3)

I think you have the wrong end of the stick mate. Iv got 4awg power and ground wiring plus its been all professionally install etc. Im going to be jumping up from 400w rms to 1000w rms. So its alot I didnt know if stock electrics (alternator and standard 3 cables) will be up to it? If not, then I wi...

The Big 3 Upgrade (TB3)

Hi all megane owners! Im looking to upgrade my sub and amp as what I have, you want more! Now the understanding of upgrading equipment comes the price of upgrading electrics. What is the maximum watts rms can the stock electrics handle before my alternator suffers? If anyone has done the big 3 upgra...

Re: Door puddle lights

One bulb being out shouldn't make a difference. I doubt its the fuse either though as I think they share the fuse with the courtesy lights.... remove the bulbs and unplug the connectors and make sure all connections are clean... they could be corroded. Hello there mate, iv done all the above but st...

Re: New window motor, regulator etc BUT problem.

It bounces back by an inch because it can't reach the calibrated point for some reason. It thinks that it is hitting a child's hand or something... The same may happen if the mechanism or the glass is mechanically stuck. Make sure everything moves freely. There can be dirt, sticky stuff from trees,...

Re: New window motor, regulator etc BUT problem.

No, i mean the connector that connects the whole door to the body. If the garage disconnected the battery... I guess they know that the steering column also needs recalibration by turning the steering left and right a quarter of a turn, then straight ahead. This is directly after connecting the bat...

Re: New window motor, regulator etc BUT problem.

Right, iv just tried it. Switch ignition on and disconnected the plug and reconnected it. Lowered 1 inch at a time and held there afew seconds and did the same raising it up and holding afew seconds. But it still the same. Goes up or down 1 inch at a time and still when you deadlock the car, all the...

Re: New window motor, regulator etc BUT problem.

Why would you want to calibrate the anti-pinch function to stop the window 1 inch below the closed position? You need to re-calibrate it now. cycle the power on the door in question by disconnecting and plugging back the door connector, then close the window 1 inch at a time, then hold the switch u...
