Re: dipstick
Not sure on the dip stick issue as it should just pull out. The reverse light sensor on my 1.5DCI 5speed manual is located on the nearside bottom of the gearbox. You can access it by taking the wheel arch out. Word of warning through. A have a bucket ready and be ready with the new one when you take...

Re: Not sure I want to know the answer to this
Sounds like one of the linkages on the top of the gearbox has either come off or broke

Re: Not sure I want to know the answer to this
If it is a manual box then reverse uses the same gear as first so I would doubt it was the actual gearbox but the linkage to the selector.
Are all the other gears okay?

Air in fuel lines - After engine replaced
Hi guys, The megane has stuggled being started when say for a day or so. I've found that there is alot of air getting into the fuel lines running from the filter to the pump. If you prime the system before starting it is fine. I've checked all the pipes and there is no sign of a leak anywhere so i'm...

Re: K9K 1.5 dci Engines
Both engine are idential internally with the uprated con rods/pistons over the lower HP versions.
I believe the gearbox mountings/starting mounting is different on the 729 from the 728. (728 should have the starter on the front)

Re: DCI VACUUM PIPE LOCATION, PLEASE HELP!!!
I've jsut changed the engine in my 1.5dci. If they are similar my pipe from the vaccum pump (on the end of the rocker cover) goes to the brake servo. The pipe from the turbo goes to a valve of some sort which mounts on the ECU bracket. There is a breather pipe from the rocker cover which goes to the...

Low compression, Cylinder 1
Hi guys, I've managed to get the 1.5 DCI starting now but it is only firing on 3 cylinders and CLIP shows a missfire on Cylinder 1. Whilst the engine is running if i unplug the injector on cylinder 1 there is no difference so the conclusion is it is not firing. Did a compression test and it is down ...

Re: how are the number plates attached?
They are just stuck on but that 3M tape is tough stuff!
There is no easy way of getting them off other than trying to cut the tape or getting a plastic wedge under it to avoid damaging the bumper
