Re: Time to say bye bye.!

You are right to be choosy.!!...and I hope you find the car that suits your needs.
The Rav4 is nice.!..but I don't think you can go far wrong with a Toyota..whatever the model.

Re: Time to say bye bye.!

Hi snowgirl, Yes...my hubby used to be in the motor trade and rates Toyota quite highly. (he was the one who suggested I looked at the Yaris..bless him) I loved my CC....and it behaved itself very well over the 7 years I had it...but the roof had started to develop a leak so it was just another &quo...

Re: Time to say bye bye.!

Hi Stranger.! Don't worry...I won't let him near it unless it wants cleaning. My Yaris is a 1.3 so the RFL is £140..but that's £120 less than the Megane.!..and according to the mpg read-out I did 52.9 to the gallon yesterday. ...even allowing for the inaccuracies of these things that'...

Re: Time to say bye bye.!

LOL...Thanks. Have to say that choosing the Yaris over the city car models has been THE best decision...and I've still reduced my road tax, insurance and fuel costs significantly....I love it already. It goes so well...like a Jack Rusell terrier..always wanting to "go." ...driving it makes...

Re: Time to say bye bye.!

Well, that's it...she's gone.!!...I've now been a Toyota-ist for 24 hours now. :-) ....after 7 years driving the same car there are a few things that I need to get sued to, but overall I'm delighted with my new Yaris. I thought I might have :cry moment but somehow it seemed the right time to change....

Re: Time to say bye bye.!

Yes, you have to drive them surely....and pick the one that most suits your needs.
It's a difficult combination of head and heart isn't it.?...but I always think you "know" which is the car for you.

Good luck ..and I hope you find the right car for you.!

Re: Time to say bye bye.!

Thank you...The Toyota suits my needs and I didn't want to go down to a "city" car of 1 litre...tried one..didn't much like it. The Yaris, although not that much bigger, is frankly in a different class. My CC is the Privilege model so quite well equipped with full leather etc but I have to...

Time to say bye bye.!

After 7 years of wonderful ownership I decided it was time to let my CC go.! It's been a great car tbh..and apart from a window/electrical gremlin (no surprise there.!) when I first got her, she hasn't put a foot wrong. Just the usual servicing and parts....Hasn't even had a new coil pack in all the...

Re: Anyone Else OCD about parking there Megane?

HATE supermarket/retail park car parks..!!...I have a couple of "dings" courtesy of some careless idiots who plainly don't give a stuff about damaging someone's car...Grrr.! I park as far out of the way as I can...but even when I park where NO-ONE else has parked..and there are several spa...

Re: *SORTED*Anyone know what this is.?

FYI I don't know if Renault sell the spring or you have to buy the whole assembly, BUT BMW do sell just the spring and if there's one of the same size that may save you some money. Example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E36-E38-E39-Clutch-Pedal-Return-Coil-Spring-1157479-/290754820051?pt=UK_CarsPar...

*SORTED*Anyone know what this is.?

Request from my Hubby.. Although I have my beautiful Meggy Coupe cabriolet...a friend has a 54 plate Megane DCI...(her brother has a Volvo like my Hubby and seems to not be a Renault fan..LOL)...and I'm told that she found this in her footwell.? (can't be 100% sure about that)...is it clutch related...

Re: Exhaust

As far as I know they are mild steel. My car is 7 years old and still running the original exhaust. I suppose if the engine was n't getting up to full temperature - lots of 2-4 mile journeys it would corrode due to the condensation that would form inside. I suppose long exhaust life makes up for th...
