hi my car was running fine until the service light cam on lost all power now garage are saying £1900 to repair i have been and bought another full engine with 3 months warranty what do i need to change/ replace before i can fit it and fire it up ? engine has done 58,000 miles

could it be from cam shaft locking cover ?

help needed I have a 1.4 megane it has just developed an oil leak on the right hand side of engine as you look at it from front just below the air filter box any ideas as to what it could be (not rocker cover)

there is a way of opening the boot from inside where the boot lock meets the catch on the bottom panel there is a little grey catch insert a flat bladed screw driver and slide to the left and boot will open

sorted with another bulb holder from the local scrapyard and all for a fiver mot all done and dusted only an advisory for 1 tyre

what would cause the brake light to remain on ive changed the bulb it is ok for about 5 minutes then stays on( bad earth ? ) got mot this week

could be airbox loose mine did the same looked under bonnet and saw that the airbox had come undone from throttle body

no it is deffo the bearings I was just wondering if it was possible to damage them by over tightening the top bolt ?

is it possible to over tighten these as im having to replace both within a year of renewing them

can anyone tell me how to do this on a 2005 mk2 1.4 16v looked on the net tried all but the spanner keeps flashing at me ?

could this be caused by worn strut top bearings as I have the same problem

well the car has been sat at the garage for a week and they have not even touched it it is sat outside the workshop im am going to ask for it back Monday morning and find someone to do the job for me i am going to change the oil first what would be the best to put in ?

hefrom the garage said one or more of the hydraulic valves had failed also quoted me £250+ vat for labour the parts they said they could get for £20.00

the car is booked into garage Tuesday I have put some hydraulic valve treatment in 2 days ago and have noticed it seems to get quieter much quicker I will mention it to the garage and enquire about the oil situation
