Re: Megane II Keycard repair instructions / Development

Hi, that 1st post was great. Thanks for taking the time to document it as you did. I'm interested to see the differences between the handsfree card and the non-handsfree one, however the link that you've provided to the picture of the handsfree card doesn't work so i can't look. The reason i ask is ...

Megane CC - Crack!! What happened?

Hi guys, i've just collected my 2004 Megane CC last night - not perfect but was quite cheap. There are a few 'observations' that i've already made (not least i've just had to pay £20 to renault for the radio code coz the dealer was an idiot doh) I've just tried to proudly show a friend how the roof ...

Re: Megane CC Seat Height Adjustment lever Snapped

Hi Guys, think i may be able to advise here... as i said i haven't collected the car yet and the dealer has phoned me today about this (amongst other) problem. Replacement of the part is possible, however it requires the seat facing to be removed... from what i've seen elsewhere on this forum it app...

Re: Waeco Magic Comfort MSH50 heated seats installed

To the OP, am i right in assuming that the leather seat top can be removed quite easily? I ask because on the car i'm getting the driver seat leather is in a very sorry state.. would be great if you could just replace the seat leather onto the carcass.
cheers

Nobody with a 2.0vvt Convertible?

I've read every post on this thread, and no one has mentioned the 6 speed 2.0vvt Convertible. I'm interested to know what it will deliver in real life - i'm moving over to one from a laguna 2 1.9dci 6 speed - now that just 'cruised' on the motorway, 6th gear, 70mph, 50mpg.. revved really low as well...

Re: Just Left Deposit on 2004 Megane CC Privilege

Sorry to point out the negatives, they are really nice cars. However,a bad one can be a money pit and the issues you've mentioned would have made me walk away. They're not rare so another one will be around the corner soon. £1800 is cheap enough (probably £1000 less than a fully sorted one - see lin...

Megane CC Seat Height Adjustment lever Snapped

I've just noticed this on a photo of the car i haven't collected yet - the passenger side outer lever for adjusting the seat height has snapped off - there is nothing there.

Has anyone else experienced this, plus can a replacement be easily sourced and fitted?
thanks

Re: Just Left Deposit on 2004 Megane CC Privilege

Clutch with start, or brake with start, or both clutch and brake with start. All should work. Check the keycard allows you to open both doors hands-free (with the card in your pocket) and that the buttons on both door handles allow you to lock the car hands-free. Also make sure that the car starts ...

Are HandsFree Keycards the same as Non-Handsfree ones?

As subject really - the Megane CC Privilege i'm going to pick up seems to have Handsfree (depress clutch+start), however there is only one keycard with it that has damage to the casing. Just wondered if the handsfree cards have any internal differences to the others. If so, what's different?

thanks

Re: Just Left Deposit on 2004 Megane CC Privilege

Hi Morgan, thanks for the reply. I don't actually know if i tried the handsfree thing correctly tbh.. i tried just pressing the clutch+start, and then footbrake+start, but should i have pressed both the clutch and footbrake? I didn't try that lol I'll attach a picture of the interior - you can give ...

Re: Megane 1.9dci advice?

Hi, i'm just transitioning over from a 1.9dci Laguna 2 over to a megane convertible (petrol) and noticed your post. Assuming the engines are the same (mine was 1.9dci, 6 speed box) mine has been fantastic in the time i've had it (nearly 3 years). However... they aren't particularly great on Diesel a...

Just Left Deposit on 2004 Megane CC Privilege

Hi everyone, just joined and hopefully will be answering more questions than asking.. I'm finally getting rid of my 2004 Laguna 1.9dci and getting a Megane 2.0vvt Privilege.. i did vow never to get a renault again to be honest - although the engine was fine, things on my laguna were starting to suff...
