Re: Heater taking a long time to get warm

Hi and welcome along Well you potentialy have a number of problems here! Firstly what mileage has the car done? On the temperature side how far up does the temp gauge get? It should reach about half way once the engine is fully warm? Remember that Diesel engines take longer to warm up than petrol en...

Carlube Triple R oil on offer in ASDA

Was mooching around ASDA yesterday and found a large selection of Carlube Triple R engine oil on offer. £12.00 for a 4l can. A good price if you are on a budget?

The 5W40 meets the REN 700/710 spec.

Not sure if all stores are stocking this but Bolton had shed fulls if the stuff!

I am :) This is my ride: It's a 99 V plate Triumph Sprint ST 955i Triple, and I love it! :grin http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll147/IainMW/100_0427.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll147/IainMW/100_0422.jpg Only got back into biking over the summer, but rode smaller bikes from the age of 1...

Re: New Laguna

According to parkers website your current CC's weight is 1395kg. A 1.5dCi 110 FAP Megane III Sports Tourer is only 1285kg. Big difference there! :D On paper the performance of the Megane III is pretty much identical to yours and road tax will be £30 as it emits only 114gkm of CO2. Food for thought? ...

Re: New Laguna

I'd wait for a Megane III estate facelift with 1.6 dCi 130HP if I were you. The engine is brilliant with loads of torque, revs freely to 5200 rpm, consumption however is a joke, and it will be much cheaper than Laguna estate with the same engine. And Megane III will probably get better equipment af...

ECU Re-proramme (flat spot)

Just a note for early 58/09 plate 1.5dCi 106 owners. My dad's Megane 106dCi had a full Renault ECU re-programme about a month ago because it had a bit of a flat spot between 1500-2500 rpm :( Well after the ECU software update it's now whizzing along like a scalded cat and fuel economy has improved a...

Re: New Laguna

Is there anyone owning one. We are considering one and wanted to findout if its any good. Either the 1.5 dci or the 2.0 (150bhp) As Stranger says, I have one and love it! It's a 2.0dCi 150 but I have fitted a tuning box to it so it's even more powerful. :D I've had it nearly a year now and in 13000...

Might be worth contacting BBC's watchdog about them, mention this to BT and see what their response is? :eek

Have you tried contacting Ofcom? https://www.ofcom.org.uk/

Re: Bang+Check Injection+Smoke= Stop!

What did cause the "bang", Iain? Did the air duct come off? No it did'nt and the cause of the bang has not been found so far? It was not a loud bang, more a muffled thud :conf The symptoms are bizzare, one miunute it will feel completely normal and take off like a scalded cat and the next...

Re: Greased Lightning

I've used it and it's not bad. You won't do the whole car in 15 minutes at they like to point out so often, but the results are okay. I would not like to tackle a really dirty car with it, and you need to use large thick microfibre cloth's as well, one to apply and clean and one to polish off. It d...
