Airbag ECU - The Mystery

Morning all, You may recall from my previous thread that my 2003 Megane Hatch is in for repairs, to remove the illuminated airbag light. Well, long story short, the airbag ecu had crash data on it and despite several attempts to remove the data (by an auto electrical specialist) I have been told it ...

Re: Underseat Wiring (updated, The Plot Thickens !!)

Ok, so I finally left the car into a vehicle electronics speicalist within my area, the results were unexpected; It transpires that the underseat wiring is fine, the previous owner did a good job of by-passing the under-seat connectors and all is well. The bad news is that there are two faults regis...

Re: Underseat Wiring

Dave / Morgan, I appreciate the advice and taking the time to source some links and tips. I'm trying to locate the wiring diagram for the under seat connectors, in order to check that he previous owners repair was actually correct. Failing that I shall run diagnostics and get some fault codes, go fr...

Re: Underseat Wiring

How about instead of posting dribble you actually add some value to this thread, surely that's the point of this place. If you read my previous posts you will see I queried this move, I was merely questioning whether this could actually be done. Again, answer the question, provide advice or just mov...

Re: Underseat Wiring

I didn't think you could take the dash bulbs out ? Isn't it some sort of inbuilt led, thus a new dash cluster would actually need bought when you have a dash / bulb fault ?

All part of the Renault cash making machine.

Underseat Wiring (updated, The Plot Thickens !!)

Evening Chaps, Bizare case and perhaps a warning to all....... I have had the airbag and service light appearing on my car since I bought it, a risk but the car was in great body and mechanical condition at that time. The mot is now approaching and I need to remove the dash warning lights (following...

Re: Keycard battery life - 24 hrs

Dave, Same thing again today. The keycard worked fine last night (opening and locking doors) yet this morning the keycard battery is completely dead (i just had it tested). The key is kept well away from the car, anyway the car is parked in the same place for almost a year, and this problem has only...

Keyfob issue (or bigger problem) ?

Hi folks, My keycard stopped working (remote locking stopped and "insert card" started appearing on dash) so I bought a new CR2025 battery and all seemed fine again. Three days later I go out to the car and the issue has repeated itself, but fortunately I had bought a pack of three batteri...

Not quite sure what you mean. The connectors from under both seats have been cut off by the previous owner, and wires taped together.

Appreciate the MOT comments.

Front Seat Wiring Nightmare

Afternoon All, Model: 2004 1.6 Megane II Coupe I bought the above vehicle with the airbag & Serivce light illuminated on the dashboard, a risk I took as I was getting quite a cheap deal (although you get what you pay for comes to mind). The car does seem to be running perfect, it had a full rece...

Re: 2004 Megane Coupe water issues

Update 2: As stated above, the carpets have always felt dry to the touch and I always assumed that the condensation was a bit of damp entering via window seal etc. Well I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled the carpets and foam up to find a load of water sloshing about on the floor pan, in and ou...
