Dave i loosened it enough so i could see the little white lever,stuck a small screwdriver in,pushed it to the left,went out and give the lid a good tug and it opened..not too hard,but a pain in the rain

very quickly,wife was loading stuff into our wee megane,and she slammed the boot shut without realising a sleeve of a coat was hanging out,now part of it is caught,and i cant get the boot to open,i read there is a release catch located inside the boot,but im baffled as to where and how i access it.I...

quick update,Garage replaced tyre,apologised,but then told me it was not an MOT fail...oh well sorted

i should have flagged this up long before now,and if it is a mot failure,guess the examiner missed it,either way im for the garage to-morrow cheers guys will let ya know

Hi all my meganes tyre size is 205/55/16,and one of the rear tyres needed replaced,about 6 weeks ago,i dont know how i missed this,but maybe i was too reliant on the garage,but last night i noticed the tyre they put on was a 215/55/16.Is this safe enough?Have not noticed any ill effects,but just tho...

update on this...took the car into a local Garage today,and within 2 minutes i was shown the passenger side droplink was at fault,15 minutes later and the fault is fixed

yeah eddie pretty sure its coming from front passenger side,checked the net and peeps with the exact same problem fixed it by replacing the strut bearing...my garage told me unless the rattle occurs when turning,its not that at fault :o also was told the bushes need to be inspected properly,well its...

phoned garage today to let them know the rattle was still there and was told that they had pretty much checked what they could and the car was sound,i informed them that the rattle is indeed there on uneven ground from the front passenger side,and my reply was pretty much...well we could change shoc...

Quick update,had the car in today,they told me it needed the tie rod ends,and i think he said 1 track rod...anyway picked it up this evening,all in £156 and this included the vat :eek ...drove out of the yard the first bit of uneven road....and the rattle is still there.Now i take it these parts wer...

Thanks for the reply tomalamix..the car is due an MOT in a little over 5 weeks time,so i will be getting these done,just wondering if these needing replaced would be giving me the rattle noise on uneven road,or should i be looking at possibly something else that maybe the mechanic never covered :?: ...
