nope the number on the big white sticker in the black folder doesnt work. Washington Renault in Sussex LOST my service book which prob has the code in it, so i'll expect them to supply a replacement code for free, will go bang some desks in the morning

with the info you all provided, i did the job in just under an hour, including about 20 mins just leaving it discharging. Re-connected the battery and all works fine and the airbag and service lights went out and stayed out, woohoo!

thanks for the info, i picked up the assy this morning and had a little panic on the way back as it didnt have the radio control stalk on it, i am assuming that can come off the old and plugged into the new assy? The only thing i'm still not sure on is how to get the wheel off, i've had a good sniff...
