Builders and the recession
What's going on out there? I thought we were in the middle of a massive downturn in economy especially for the building and construction industry. I'm planning a garage costing approx £6000, so far i've called 8 builders and arranged visits for quotes. Guess what? Only 2 have turned up so far! 1 got...

Re: dealers sharing information
Well get this, the car went in last week to have the condensor replaced under warranty. Got the call and went in to pick the car up, service guy tells me "all done just a small problem"! When the mechanic removed the condensor he found the damage to be caused by a stone, "so" he ...

Re: Driving with little person
I think driving at 70mph is extremely safe and the way the traffic flows on our motorways, 70mph still keeps you in the slow lane. The best thing you can do to keep safe is extend that distance between you and the car in front. If someone is up your arse also extend the gap in front and try and loo...

dealers sharing information
Found out last week that Ford dealers don't share information regarding servicing work with other dealers. Took mine in to a Ford dealer with air con not working to be told the condenser was gone caused by stone damage so therefore not covered by warranty!! Took it last week to a different dealer fo...

Re: Thank you BT for being.....
Have they not breached the contract by not providing a service? Surely that'd be the way to get out of it. Did read a story a few weeks back also about the self employed guy who won a settlement from British gas after he sued them for his time having to sort their mess up out. He logged every minute...

Once you have them you'll be able to drive right up the a**e of the car in front.

Re: Calling Fellow 1.9 DCI Owners (Turbo Sound)
My old 1.9 used to have a nice high pitched turbo sound. Kicked in at about 2000rpm, was only really noticeable on country roads with high hedges.

Yeah i too had that, changed the glow plugs(approx£30 for 4) and problem sorted.
Just be aware if you change them yourself(easy job) the light takes a good 5 minute run before it goes out.

Well all went well, service was done. Service from the staff was fine, car was washed while they had it as i said i was in no rush for it back!! Best bit was they replaced 2 front bulbs which i hadn't noticed were out. Charged me for bulbs but not fitting them, i joked about free fitting and he said...

Re: Starting the Megane (basic help)
Yeah very common problem, have a look above the clutch pedal there will be a snapped wire. Just needs the ends stripping and re-connecting.
