Re: Please help with fitting new radio

I put a Sony unit in my Megane that is specifically is compatible with the car, steering controls work just fine. I bought it off eBay probably about 4 years ago but suspect they might be rare.

Re: Air Con problem wit Megane II 1.5 dci 07 plate

My experience may help, Megane II 1.5 dCi 08 plate. Last year I realised I was getting no cold air through the vents, the car isn't used much as I now have a company car and so I had no idea when the problem started. So I took it to Kwik-Fit for a re-gas, it went through the cycle and was refilled b...

Re: FOR MEGANE CC OWNERS

It's a sealed unit, so if there is a fuse I can't get to it without damaging the case.

I've e-mailed the website I bought it off, hopefully I can get a replacement.

Re: FOR MEGANE CC OWNERS

Looks like the unit has now failed. The orange warning spanner came on yesterday, but no other lights or messages. Later on I noticed I couldn't raise of lower the windows using the switch on the centre armrest. The roof wouldn't move either. Today I checked if the Smarttop box was properly connecte...

Re: Headlight auto adjustment?

The first time I changed a 'dipped bulb I also ended up with a white streak on the road, I hadn't located the bulb correctly.

Re: 1.5 dci engine

I was getting 53-54 in the summer, but the last few tanks i've been barely reaching 50. I'm pretty sure it's down to the winter diesel. Mine you I was only getting 46-47 until it was noticed that the intercooler had a hole in it.

Re: FOR MEGANE CC OWNERS

I ordered one on Sunday and it arrived today...all the way from the USA. However I hadn't noticed they were a US company (I'd assumed European for some reason), so I had to pay an extra £52 pounds when UPS delivered it (VAT + charge). So cost me a total of £250 in the end. Very well made product how...

Re: Hole in intercooler

Dealer got back to me, Renault have accepted the warranty claim and will replace the intercooler. I was quite surprised!

Re: Hole in intercooler

Cheers for the info. I found a guide to changing the intercoolwe, and as you said it's not too hard. I found a brand new one in ebay for under £130, a used one for half that. I've removed a bumper on a previous car so I'd be happy to do this one too. I suspect Renault will reject a warranty repair a...

Hole in intercooler

2008 1.5 dCi Dynamique CC Car was serviced today, dealer has reported that the intercooler has a hole and is leaking air. Was asked if I'd noticed a lack of power, however I've only had the vehicle a couple of months and the problem may predate my ownership. Hopefully it will be covered by warranty....

Re: Climate control

After disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, the Climate Control seems to be working normally again. I went out today after the sun had warmed the car up and after a few minutes it was blowing cold at quite a rate.

Climate control

2008 1.5dci Dynamique CC
Air conditioning/heating seems to work fine if operated manually (temperature low/high, fan max) , however as soon as "Auto" is pressed the fan stops running and there is no airflow. Clearly the basic cooling/heating components are working.

Any ideas?
