For sale: Pioneer TS-Q131C and Sony CDX GT30 RN headunit

Hi. I have a Sony CDX GT30 RN headunit(boxed, with remote control and aerial adaptor. No stalk adaptors) and a pair of Pioneer TS-Q131C speakers with tweeters for sale. They both came out of my old 2003 Megane where they stayed for the past few months. Good quality, excellent sound for the price and...

Re: Edge 12" Subwoofer, Edge ED7400 and Pioneer TS-Q131C ins

Hi Mate Where did you ground the amp? Im not too keen on drilling a hole, but will if i have to, is there an easier way? There is a ground point on the left hand side near the rear lights. It is behind the carpet and not too hard to find. It is very convenient if you have the amplifier on the left ...

Re: Edge 12" Subwoofer, Edge ED7400 and Pioneer TS-Q131C ins

Quick update: The Edge amplifier packed up a couple of days ago. Bought it to my Audio guy and he said the amplifier had pretty much died due to a surcharge of power. Apparently, the previous owner had jammed the fuse in so tight that it melted and didn't break the circuit when it was supposed to do...

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

is there any kits that drop it more than 45mm i want mine more like 100mm to 120mm From my limited knowledge on the matter, I think the only way to achieve that would be to get a set of adjustable coilovers. I had a link earlier on this post about the JOM ones off ebay. Personally I have no experie...

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

very good. How long and how much was your ICE upgrade The whole ICE upgrade took me about 4 days as I had never installed an amplifier and subwoofer in a car before and I was working only an hour at a time at the most on it. Easiest bit of the job was fitting the speakers and tweeters. That only to...

Re: Edge 12" Subwoofer, Edge ED7400 and Pioneer TS-Q131C ins

I got the new speakers today in the post and here are some pictures of the install. It was really straight forward and required just a screwdriver for the hex heads of the screws holding the speakers and a flathead one to pry the cover from the door. All in all it took about 30 min to install as I t...

Edge 12" Subwoofer, Edge ED7400 and Pioneer TS-Q131C install

Hiya. I got myself a second hand Edge 12" subwoofer and Edge ED7400 amplifier to add to the car as I was not happy with the sound. After 3 days of working on it part time, I finally managed to get it all hooked up and working with my Sony CDX GT30 RN headunit. It was not the easiest thing to do...

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

thing i did notice with my 2008 (57) 1.6 vvt dynamique S megane is that its has no marking of engine size etc on the front doors ( you know the shiney ehiney metal bits on the side strips) is that normal? Not sure tbh as mine has the little shiny bit saying 1.4. Maybe check on another 1.6 car. If y...

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

thought qabout colour coding but decided not too as it all works. alloys i think are standard offset no spacers atm. back might need some Still tempted to colour code my car as it's black and seeing others that are colour coded are well nice. Plus, the side strips I reckon would be quite easy to do...

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

I had this kit on mine. It was great until I hit a pothole that bent one of the struts like a banana! :| Oh no, was it a defective strut or just a really bad pothole at speed? Fairly bad pothole at high speed. Did make me dubious about the quality of the strut, but as I said, everything was great u...

Looks ace man :) Really tempted to colour code (DIY job for the weekend) my car as it makes a big difference I think and get some nicer alloys. The alloys on yours looks the business. What was the offset and did you have to use spacers on it?

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

Definitely looks a lot better than standard :-) I've got a 1.9dci that I'm hoping to drop soon and that height looks perfect :) Definitely looks and drives better than standard. Highly recommend the kit so far and no issues, even though I found the JOM coilovers online for about the same about of m...

Re: Suspension kit and alloy wheels.

Update: Here are some pictures with the Supersport Sprint suspension kit on the car. Lowered by 45mm all round. Think it looks not too bad. Handling has definitely improved from before and going over potholes is not a judder to the spines of anyone in the car :D https://www.flickr.com/photos/7926482...
