Re: Another spare wheel for cc thread!
I got hold of a matching alloy I found on a well known auction site as I found it impossible to find the correct size space saver. I then cut out the depressed area of the removable boot floor that sits over the spare wheel well and flattened it out so that the alloy now fits underneath with only a ...

Re: Megane CC rear window cable replacement
I didn't use the springs that came with the cable kit as they were far stronger than the originals so I removed the originals from the old cables. I had to pinch in the first coil of the old spring so that they stayed in place on the new cables as they were a slightly loose fit and as you know when ...

Re: Megane CC rear window cable replacement
Replaced the cables OK today, no problems at all will try to find time to write something up but pretty busy at the mo. I'm guessing a job that cost me £10 would have been £650 to £700 in a Renault garage

Re: Megane CC rear window cable replacement
I think I may know how the cable pulleys are connected to the motor pulley now but if anyone has any ideas I would still like to hear them.
The repair kit should be with me early next week and I will post how I get on.

Megane CC rear window cable replacement
Hi there my near side rear window opened correctly yesterday when opening the roof, unfortunately it wouldn't return and just made a nasty noise when I pressed the button. I stripped the complete window mechanism out today and the cables were in a tangled mess, Renault wanted £280 + VAT for a comple...

Re: help i've broken my roof
On some CC's the roof trim panels are bonded on and others use clips according to research I carried out some time ago, if it's bonded I seem to remember a hand operated cheese wire type device being used to cut through the glue and I think also certain clips, cant remember exactly where I read this...

Re: New Boy On The Block!
Oh just one more thing regarding space saver wheels, I did read somewhere that a space saver can only be fitted to the rear axle as it fouls the front brake caliper. This would mean that if you get a flat on the front you would have to move the rear wheel to the front then put the space saver onto t...

Re: New Boy On The Block!
Hi Allan and welcome, I fitted a cord onto my key card and just hang it around my neck as I don't need to plug mine in, I leave the spare at home and have never had any problems. I believe there might be a space saver wheel available but I don't think they are very plentifull, I got hold of a full s...

Re: Driver's window goes up too far
Some cc's have screw adjusters under the bottom of the door, mine certainly does but I don't know if they all have them.
Search the forum as this has been talked about in depth before. If you have adjusters it's a relatively easy job to do, biggest problem is locating them.

Re: opening roof
I'm with you freelanderuk I'v always opened and closed the roof with the engine running. I'd be interested to know though if you can switch the ignition off with the roof half open/closed without screwing up the opening/closing programming sequence because it could be useful if you wanted to do some...

Re: opening roof
When you say that you can open the roof to just half way does that mean with the engine running or perhaps just ignition on because some have said that the roof will move on its own after a few minutes which wouldn't be nice if you got your hand in there at the time? Can the ignition be switched off...

CC Spare Wheel
Does anyone know what full size 17" wheels can be used as a spare for a 2004, 2 litre CC, not bothered if its alloy or steel, cheaper the better really. I got Nervasport alloys fitted and carry cans of gunk but would prefer a spare even though I know I have to mod the boot floor.

Like I said check the connector under the passenger seat first.
