Re: ECU Piggyback Tuning Box for Diesels

Day 6: Took the box out and sold my car. Whilst it was in there and turned up setting higher than it came with, it felt more torquey at the lower revs. Performance wise I didn't notice any major increase, far from the advertized figures anyway. Fuel consumption wise, the trip computer was reading fi...

Re: ECU Piggyback Tuning Box for Diesels

Okay, so before I give some feedback following a day of using my Pro Bitz Tuning Box, I would like to make clear that the video shown in Page 1 IS NOT using one of these Pro Bitz boxes that is then linked by the original poster, this is frustratingly quite misleading (although the OP may not be awar...

Re: ECU Piggyback Tuning Box for Diesels

After having confirmation from the seller that the auction includes a 30 day full money back guarantee minus postage, I decided to just buy one to give it a go. I have monitored my fuel fill ups and consumption for the past few years and know exactly what I normally get on what trips I do consumptio...

Re: ECU Piggyback Tuning Box for Diesels

Any further updates/reviews on using this mod now that it's been a good few months? Worn out the clutch yet etc?

Filling problem

I had 94 miles left on the range readout so I went to fill up 2.5 liters diesel at the nearby fuel station, when I left, the read out was still 96 miles remaining, I drove home which was about 1.5 miles away and it went down as if the additional fuel I put in never happened? I phoned the forecourt u...

Re: Trip computer intermittently resets itself in the mornin

I did think it could be the battery but then thought if it was lack of power, the car stereo would lose all settings so then discarded that thought, however I remember cleaning my car on one of those mornings and saw the trip computer still giving a correct readout, then after I started the car, it ...

Trip computer intermittently resets itself in the mornings

This has happened twice now (Thursday, Friday) but not yesterday (Saturday) though I was expecting it to, basically, the trip computer is as if it has been reset with everything reading afresh except for the permanent engine mileage, nothing else gets reset i.e. car audio settings, it's just that tr...

Re: Megane fuel tank capacity

i normally get to around 530ish miles before it gives me that warning sign with a range of about 60 miles to go, then the range readout disappears to blank 10 miles or so later inconveniently when below 50, since this month, it's started giving me a warning sign around 490 miles however when i fill ...

Re: Embarrasing horn

Oh yeah! we were laughing our heads off when we tried it out! The default one is just so flat and like a fart that gets caught up between the cheeks, whereas the Stebel is like a twin toned crisp fart heaps louder!

Re: Embarrasing horn

Nevermind, had this fitted today. The front bumper is quite straight forward to take off, there are 2-3 screws by the wheel arch linings on both sides, some useless plastic clip screws at the top of the bumper just under the bonnet lid, and about 4 metal bolts underneath the front bumper attaching i...

Re: Embarrasing horn

I was going to attempt it myself but then realized I had zero mechanical skills at all lol, is it defo a front bumper job off? as I'm worried if I get an auto electrician, they won't be able to take the bumper off, and an indy garage won't be able to do the soldering etc

Re: Embarrasing horn

Ignore the above, ive got hold of the stebel, a 30 amp switching relay free as there wasn't one in the box, 2.5meters 27 amp single cable and some spade slide on front insulated terminals.

How easy is this to do once the bumper is off?

Re: Embarrasing horn

I'm currently in Halfords at the moment and they only have Halfords terminal blocks 5 amp or 10 amp maximum ratings, 12 sections easily cut to required length it goes on to say, im guessing i need a 20 amp terminal block? Also will I only need one piece of 20 cable?
