Re: egr problems

i would look on ebay, should find one cheap enough there.
you could try cleaning your old egr valve first, often works

Re: rear window

well fixed this one in the end. found nothing wrong at the drivers door so i stripped the rear door again. while checking for feeds to the motor with the test light the window suddenly shot into life. so i can only assume a poor connection to the motor. strange really because its been on & off s...

Re: Service and Airbag Lights on Dash?!

yes that is exactly what it will be.

make & break the connection under the seat a few times & a dose of electrolube or wd40 should do the trick

Re: Knocking help!!!!!

you may well find a snapped spring, or it could be a strut top mounting failed.
spring is easily spotted, the top mount you can normally hear creaking as you move lock to lock

Re: oil changing

personally i would not trust any of the major chains, they are all rip offs. why trust a tyre fitter to service your car anyway?

your best bet is to find a proper independent garage. i would use a fully synthetis oil as well.

Re: car failed mot

hi, lower wishbones are approx 50 + vat, add an hours labour per side & 200 quid sounds a good price to me.

they are a common failure item on meganes, reckon a set every 2 - 3 years wont be far wrong, same as track rods & track rod ends.

put card in, do not press brake or clutch & than hold start button for a few seconds & the ignition should turn on.

if not check the battery is fully charged,

Re: airbag and spanner light

you will need to get the fault code read, any decent garage will be able to do this.
