Re: Is it me??
If you have traction control fitted suggest you turn it off and see if that makes a difference, the control is on the lower side right hand of the dash if fitted.

Throttle surge
Is this a fault or normal function, if I take my foot off the throttle pedal completly and just let it go forward on it's own accord in mainly second gear, the car slows down as expected but will then pick up speed slightly and again slow down. Re: High temprature problem
The usual way to bleed the system is to get the engine at running temp, speed engine up and open bleed valve till constant flow thro bleed valve then close valve, providing that an air lock is the real problem, bleed valves are usually on top hose and heater pipes.

Re: mpg display
What if you change the instrument panel readout from mph/miles to km/h/litres which you can do by pressing button 3 or 4 on the end of the wiper stalk and start button for about 10 seconds it will change to km/h would this then give the instant litres/per km? just an idea

Re: mmmm starting problems
At the price Renault are charging you for the job it should include the waterpump which is strongly advised to change as if not and it goes faulty later on will cost more cash, so ask if it is included.
