if you look at the topic below it shows the pump assembly and i would think the bet way to get to it is to remove the fron bumper (if you search the forums there are threads explaining how to do this)

It sounds like either the wires for the pumps are conneted to the wrong pump ie front wire connected to back pump and vice versa or the tubes are connected to the wrong pump.

No not all it was an option on the Dymanique and standard on the Privilege not sure about the other models.
