Figured it out. The rubbers that the bonnet rest on were set too high, therefore not pressing the switch to tell the car that it was fully down. A few twists to lower them and its sorted now.

Go on then, anyone tried it in a DCi? Toying with the idea but i know that some types of engines just cant cut it.

My mate used to nip into Asda's and buy a few bottles of veg oil and then park up at the back and 'fill up' LOL. His fourtrak ran like a train!

I took my car in for a service to a local mechanic a few days ago. Since then, when i close all the doors and try to alarm the car, it will lock and a high pitch noise can be heard from near the rear of the car. Anyone know what this could be??? My thoughts are that as the air filter had to be fitte...

Nice tip there mate. Think I will give it a go after all I'm only gonna lose a fiver, a few hours plus having to scrape it all back off 

Ordered my springs off ebay today.
Spax 45mm drop all round on 1.9dci.
Will post pics when completed.

Ps. How much am I looking at for rear brake discs for above motor 2005?? Cheapest I could find on ebay was around £100!!!

Now he can't fit my r26r spoiler!! Says he doesn't want to drill into the Bootlid and recommends me to glue it on!!

I'm taking it off his hands asap.

Where did you get yr tint kit from and how much? Did u use plenty of that liquid spray stuff?

Just to point out I'm posting from an iphone. Not used/had a computer for ages now hence i might have missed a few posts here and there due to fiddly screen and buttons etc.
I took Ur advice and pm'd sadret and looks like he's gonna give me a hand, top bloke.

Chill out man, I know nothing about mechanics that's why I gave it to a mechanic and thought I'd ask you nice people here.

Anyway, going to see a mates mates 225 Tomoz so will figure it out.

Or better still if anyone can recommend someone that can do it for a decent price in the Manchester area then that would be very much appreciated.

Just got a call from my mechanic. He says that the 225 back box has 2 mounts and my dci back box only has one. To fit the 2nd mount he says it's not do able as where the 2nd mount needs to go is plastic (spare wheel area). He says it will rattle like hell on just one mount. :( Could anyone supply a ...
