Re: injection fault on display?????
what you mean? About glow plugs going? I was giving an example of how quite a major fault, all 4 glow plugs or pre heater plugs burning out, ie open circuit there giving no preheating under cold start conditions, giving no fault readout on a Renault, albeit a Clio, when the Megane flashes up spurio...

Re: Headlight/indicator bulb change explained-its gone again?
I had the nearside front indicator go about a year after my last post, now that is a bit of a bugger to get at as you just said. Everything is at a finger tip stretch and it took about 1/2hr to free the bayonet. Annoying thing was simply removing the bulkb and replacing it cured the problem, othersi...

Re: How To: Check & Change Glow Plugs
That is a very detailed and well pictured post from the OP.
Unfortunately it's not the best way to test the glow plugs.
Simple, as in remove each one in turn, no pics needed and check the resistance, if you get a reading it is fine, open or closed circuit, then replace.

Re: resetting service light on facelift megane ll
Its the service light, ie reminder, I think you want to reset. The facelift model does not have the reset button on the dash. Instead flick through the computer on the stalk untill you call up the time to next service, then depress and hold the button, it's straight forward from there. Oh Co...

Re: Window Fail!
I have had my window motor fail three times now.... It’s not broken it has just failed, What you need to do is take of the door card and remove the motor housing. Take a hair dryer and dry the life out of it, do the same with all connectors... Reconnect and 9 times out of 10 will work fine... If it...

Re: Window Fail!
I had the same issue, the window regulator is a known issue on certain age cars, mine is a 55plte. Renault have increased the waranty on these from the standard 3 years by a further 1 , but only as a "good will gesture". IE, they don't admit to the problem, and you will probably have to be...

Re: Range when fuel light comes on
I don't think there is a fault at all, the sensor guages how much fuel is left in the tank not how many miles you can still do. Because of differnt engines, driving styles and conditions, the range left can be anything between about 30 and 70 miles. The range then indicates -- but you have 1 gall ap...

Re: Window Regulator
Yes a result, but to be honest the whole of the door inner has to allow water to pass through, the window seals will never stop this, hence the drain slots in the door base. Anyone know what they did to the post '55 mechanism to avoid this?
Probably just a secondary water shield I supose???

Re: Window Regulator
Right, took car in this morning, Spoke to different oik to last week. He said the problem may not be the regulator, and if it was wasn't I would be charged. As the wife has a similar Megane I had already changed the door switches over so was pretty convinced. He asked "how would I expect to pay...

You're right, I did wind it down, and it has stuck open again :banghead Just to add, the window was working fine yesterday as I said, but got in it today and wouldn't open. I really new wha6t was about to happen but still did it anyway. Got out of the car, all windows up, locked and deadlocked, and ...

Re: Window Regulator
I've got a similar post running as for the 3rd time the drivers window opened itself and stayed there. Rang local Renault, said it was a known issue and that the regulator waranty had been increased to 4 years, (the car is 3 1/4 year old) They didn't seem to know anything about it initially, but the...
