syphon petrol?

so after breaking down and more costly problems I have decided its time to move the Megane on...problem is it has almost a full tank of petrol.
I'd like to leave around 1/4 tank in there for the new owner...but what are my options here? Anyone given it a go? is it possible?

thanks

Remove Bonnet

My current bonnet started to peel and I have now managed to source a replacement - how easy will it be to switch over? I'm imagining a couple of bolts but i'm sure there could be and will be more to it than that.

Anyone done it before?

I need to change mine due to a private plate but they seem stuck on pretty solidly. I have given them a good tug and tried the boiling water down the back trick incase they have used sticky pads but they refuse to budge - not screwed in either. also tried running some wire behind it to "hacksaw...

Re: Noise just started from under bonnet?

appreciate the replies guys - In case anyone elses has a similar issue i got it to the garage yesterday to get the timing belt and water pump replaced and was told the noise was actually the water pump on its way out.

Pleased to say the noise has gone and car feels better in general.
