Re: Diesel vs Petrol
The advantage of a hybrid is exactly that... CITY DRIVING. The engine (a 1.5L petrol) is a very dirty engine.
Citroen should be making a diesel hybrid next year or in 2010.... we'll wait and see..... would love to have a Meg hybrid tho too!!

Re: Diesel vs Petrol
CVT is what Toyota have been using for years on their Prius....I think it's a good option for a low powered car (the Prius is like 76bhp), but for bigger/more powerful engines, I have my doubts how effective it can be...

Re: Heater not working on all settings
I had a similar problem... only mine is with Climate control so the fan speed is controlled electronically rather than by knob. But my fan stopped working altogether. Had it at the Ren garage and they said they changed the resistance which controls the fan speed. So maybe that is your prob too... mi...

Changing Suspension
Hi all, I'm more looking for suggestions rather than a real problem here.... My Meg 2 sedan has about 50,000Km and I was thinking of changing the shock absorbers. Was thinking of getting Monroe instead of the original ones. I had Monroe's on my Clio and they were great. Apart from shock absorbers, w...

Replacement Dampers
Hi, I'm thinking of replacing the dampers on my Megane 2005 saloon model. I was thinking of buying Monroe dampers. Does anyone have other suggestions of good quality dampers? What else should I change beside them? Ball joints, etc? I live in Malta where our streets are a bit $hitty with lots of poth...

In the UK the 1.5dCi 106 is not FAP fitted You can use an independant garage as long as it's VAT registered and genuine Renault parts are used. Your warranty will not be affected. Your service interval should be 12000 miles or 1 year which ever is sooner and YOU MUST USE 5W40 fully synthetic oil th...

If you use good quality oil (like 100% synthetic), then there's no need to service in between the Renault recommended intervals. As to third party servicing, I wouldn't recommend that.... at least until the warranty is over. Remember that dealers are good as saying things like ".... it happened beca...
