ive also had this problem. i checked the earth connections , checked the terminals for rust and all were ok. it turned out to be the plug on the loom that goes into the rear light cluster , the connections were loose , so all i did was push them together sightly with a small screwdriver to make the ...

yep ... agree they are not xenons , but halogens behind a projector type round lense.

they work but are rubbish , i will get them adjusted and see what happens,

Yes I have the facelift and projector style headlight , and there is an adjuster for the height , this was set to the highest level , but still the headlights arnt good.
