Thanks for the update Mike hope it's sorted. Did you have to recode the ecu for the different injectors?

How have you guys got on? Very good thread,hope you got it sorted. My megane 1.5 diesel usually starts ok but on some ( not all) cold damp mornings struggles to fire up and blows loads of smoke when it does fire up. I did also think ( key Card again) the glow plugs where not being given enough time ...

Renault put there semi synthetic elf 10w/40 stuff in and my engine didnt like it at all.Rougher and louder,so I put my fav mobil1 0w/40 full synthetic and she is running like a dream again,quieter and smoother.TAKE NOTE RENAULT!THAT 10W/40 STUFF YOU SAY TO USE IS CRAP.

8 months ago I had an oil and filter change on my megane 1.5DCI by Kwik Fit and I asked for the Mobil1 0w-40 fully synthetic,loved the stuff and so did the car it ran great.However when I dropped into Kwik Fit today to enquire about another one they said they now put in Mobil Super 3000 X1 5W-40 whi...

I have a 2004 megane 1.5DCI and will shortly have to get new driveshafts,anyone had them done?How much does Renault usually charge and would be better to get some myself online and get an independant garage to change them?
