Cigarette Lighter Illumination

Hi

I am getting power to my cigarette lighter socket but the orange illumination ring is not lighting up at night with the headlights on. I know there is a bulb within the assembly, does anybody know what type of bulb it is? Just want to get one before I take the lighter socket out.

Regards

Re: Alarm problem

Hi,

I have known in the past that a car battery in poor condition can cause issues with the megane electrical system. How old is your car battery?

Re: Alarm problem

Hi

Is there any windows open?

Is there a fly/moth/bug in the car?

Re: Rear electric windows

Hi

Have you tried the fuse.

I believe drivers and front passenger have separate fuses and the passenger ones have one fuse for both.

Re: front window

Hi,

Try the window reset:-

If not then it could be your regulator.

Re: passenger front window

Hi,

The guy off ebay waterproofs it so it does not happen again. He puts heatshrink over it in order to stop water ingress.

Re: passenger front window

Hi,

It will be the window regulator module.

Chap on Ebay repairs them, he does a damn good job aswell.

See below topic:-

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21783

Had mine done by him. Sent it off and got it back with 48 hours.

Re: drivers door window

Hi,

My front passenger window stopped working. I used the same guy to repair my module. I had it back in 48 hours and it worked a treat. It cost me £30.

Re: Loose connector under drivers seat

Hi,

Just found what it is for. It is a seat position sensor for the airbag. It will vary the airbag inflation depending on the drivers seat position.

Page 222 explains it.

Re: Loose connector under drivers seat

Hello,

Found the same plug loose under my driver's seat and reconnected it. I had no warning lights. Does anybody know what it is for?

Weird

Re: ABS Kicking in - Possible ABS fault?

Hi,

Could you have dirt on a sensor?

Just a thought. If you had a duff sensor then you would get an ABS caption but wondering if some grit or grime could give you your symptoms at low speeds.
