Re: Hail damage and the route to take..
Yup I'm going to see them, it's the roof I'm overly concerned about with the amount of dents

Re: viewing a enault 225 what do i look out for? common prob
From my experience of owning one, the only things I would make sure on are that the electric windows work perfectly and the air con actually chucks out cold air.

Re: Hail damage and the route to take..
Yeah I'm thinking about that route and getting another 225. On the one hand I'm lucky my bank loan has just finished.. on the other I didn't particularly want to take another one out o_O

Hail damage and the route to take..
I'm thinking this is the best section to post in. Last week we had some pretty freaky weather in Melton Mowbray which included pretty large pieces of hail. Suffice to say my car, in places, looks like the surface of the moon. Normally I 'd be pretty pissed at damage to my car but seeing as everyone ...

Just a small update
Just a quick update really as not used the forums for a while with travelling around a lot ;) Still have the 225 and still love it, although I had some niggles recently with the electric windows not working, one rear brake light stopped working (connection issue) and the odd bit of hesitation under ...

Potential upgrades..
Hey been a while since I've been on the site. Had my 225 for around a year now and love it. Not really had any problems apart from the Air Con, but I couldn't complain as I got the car for a pretty good price. I'm hoping it just needs re-gassing and the actual compressor hasn't packed up! She's due ...

Re: Now a proud owner of a 225 :)
I'll either get the alloys redone in a gun-metal finish or change them completely.
Further down the line I expect to drop the ride height with some new springs (poss a coilover kit)
No doubt I'll change the exhaust from stock to a Mongoose unit too

Re: Now a proud owner of a 225 :)
I think it's just a standard 225. I have my eye on replacing the head unit with a Pioneer DVD unit

Now a proud owner of a 225 :)
I was actually going for a 04' Leon Cupra R, finding a decent one is a bit harder than the Renault though! Saw a 5 door 225 in wales with r26 decals. Wasn't too keen then saw this and was sold due to the condition of the car :) I bought from a dealer as I've had 2 previous bad experiences buying pri...
