Hi all,
The cable that goes to my seat tilt lever at the top of the seat has broken. Has anyone
had this before? Is the cable replaceable? I guess I'll need to remove the whole seat
to get to this?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Clutch Pedal
The slave cylinder had failed inside the gearbox contaminating the clutch. New clutch nearly £170 and you also need a new mass damped flywheel at the same time, another £450! Plus labour (engine out job) just under 1100. That is an independent! Only problem now is I keep getting engine fault light P...

Re: Clutch Pedal
Turns out to be the slave cylinder. £400 fitted, or £1100 changing the clutch at the same time!

Clutch Pedal
Our CC clutch pedal was sticky a couple of time yesterday while driving and stayed down after changing gears. We pulled it up with our feet and it was OK. Now, today, its doing it all the time and we can't always get it out of gear. Reading up on the Internet seems it could be a master cylinder prob...

I might be wrong, but I think I read somewhere about this fault occurring if the wipers
were left on or something similar? Might be worth checking

Re: put petrol in diesel megane cc
we did this a few weeks ago. They drained the tank and changed the fuel filter.
Been running fine ever since. We put about £20 in giving us a 50/50 diesel/petrol
mix, then drove 120 miles. You should be okay!

Re: Bodywork problem on A column
I have a black cc. My pillar trims are coming away slightly at the bottom. Not unsightly yet, but enough for me to notice. I keep meaning to glue them and clamp them when I get some free time on a sunny day. Maybe the screen was changed on the car previously and they didn't refix them properly in th...

maybe the cars battery is dead. Can you take out the grill to open the bonnet?

Re: Milage screen issue?
when mine goes to ----- I reset the trip counter so know how far I've driven since
the alarm went off! I'd rather the mileage continued counting down though.

I did a walkthrough for this. You should be able to find it by doing a search.

Re: 'Check injection' fault with slow and smokey start
It could also be a temperature sensor problem. If it thinks the engine is already warm it won't heat the glow plugs as long or at all I think. Check the voltage to these when starting from cold. Fault codes can sometimes be misleading too sometimes, with fault codes showing a symptom rather than the...

Fingers Crossed!
Went to Brighton for the weekend, 125 miles away. We only had about 120 miles of fuel left when we came home, so added an extra £20 worth. Drove home fine, no problems. Went to use the car in the evening and it wouldn't start. I had a quick look and there didn't seem to be any fuel going through the...

Renault did mine for £30. I was going to try myself, but the access isn't the best and I was
worried about not being able to re-prime the system.

Re: roof mechanism fault
how far does it go? Does the boot lift at all? Is the mechanism hitting anything in the boot?
You could check the blind switch in the boot. Or a bit more drastic, try the roof manually
to see if the mechanism is running smoothly?

Re: Scratched Interior Handles
I removed the handles to wrap them. The front part of the handle (with the mirror switch) just unclips with a bit of careful prying from the bottom working up. Then disconnect the switch cables and undo two screws, top and bottom. The back part of the handle then comes away from the door card. I did...
