My only experience of Splitfires is with a 1.4 Metro GTa (K Series), which was converted to twin carbs. I have to say the car went well with the plugs (standard leads) and they seemed to have a decent lifespan.

Alex, I was just maing a few observations as per the thread title, but since you ask: I'm well aware of how thick competition sump guards are, having banged my head on quite a few. So far, we've zero damaged coils, but it doesn't matter anyway as a full set of new ones was supplied with the car (war...

Bizarre design - some observations

Hi all I'm not a Renault owner, but have just today completed the 4 year service on my sister & brother in law's car, a Scenic II 1.4. 1. The square-hole-in-the-middle sump bung. What is wrong with a bolt? Also, why no hole in the (ridiculously thin) undertray for the sump? 2. Air filter element...

Brake Bleed Sequence

Hi all

Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong part of the forum.

Does anyone know what the brake bleed sequence is for the Megane II Scenic 1.4 2003?

TIA

Thanks chaps for the swift replies. Actually, I was hoping you might say what you did! It's my sister's car, and I don't really fancy the job much.

Greatly appreciated

Aircon retrofit

Hi all

I'd like to retrofit aircon to a 2003 Scenic II, Authentique 1.4.

What parts would I need?

Is it reasonably feasible?

Thanks in advance!

Front wiper arm/cantilever

Hello all My sister's 03 Scenic II gace her a bit of a scare today - the driver's side wiper arm came loose on the motorway to Belfast in the pouring rain! It turns out that one of the three nuts (the middle one) had become loose and there was no drive to the wiper. So, I have removed all 3 nuts, pu...
